About:China Visa Exemption

Would I be able to visit a United States citizen working in Hong Kong for a few days?

I am an active duty Soldier in the Army that is currently station in Seoul, Korea. I have a family member who works in Hong Kong and I would like to take a trip to visit them. Would I qualify for a free visa and how long would I be able to stay? Also I would add that I have an official U.S. passport.
