About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Dutch traveling from HK to China

Hi,

I am a Dutch citizen and I will be on a trip to Hongkong. During my trip, I would like to take a train from HK to Guangzhou on the 26th of March (evening) and go back on the 29th of March (afternoon). Is this eligible for the 72h transit visa?

No. China Mainland and Hongkong has different immigration. You must have Visa (Maybe - I don't know for Dutch citizen) to go China Mainland.

72-hour TWOV does not apply to land border arrivals. You'll need a visa if you are staying for more than 24 hours.
