About:Hong Kong Visa Application

How to apply for Hongkong visa in Uk

Hi, I am Vietnamese and being an international student studying in the Uk. Now I am intending to visit my friends in Hongkong for 5 days only. Do I need to prepare for any financial statement like bank balance to be my financial proof. If yes, how much do I need to prepare? ANd do I need to make an appointment before coming to Chinese Embassy in London?

Zen, yes, you need to provide your financial support. You don’t need to make an appointment. If your application is processed by the embassy of China, it will cost 20 pounds.

I know, but I mean, the proof pf financial support for my whole journey. I have been heard about making a bank statement of last 3 months but not sure about that

The financial support refers to bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts, etc. and proof of employment (if any), e.g. company leave letter, salary slips, etc. It is used to prove that you have enough money to cover your trip for HK. The recent 3-month bank statement may be ok.

I am an international university student so do not have employment letter but do have letter from uni, is it ok? And my bank statement now gets 1500 pounds which my parents have sent me for cover my 5-days trip. Is it alright or I need to prepare more?
