Visiting Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Beijing

Hi. We are visiting Guangzhou for 4 day from Los Angeles, then want to go to Hong Kong for 3 days then visit Beijing for 3 days.
From Beijing back to Hong Kong by plane, take train to Guangzhou to return to Los Angeles. We have American passport, do we need a visa?
