If you go there for tourism purpose, you should apply for a tourist visa. First, prepare the relevant documents: copy of your passport, proof of your financial support, a completed application form, a passport-sized color photo, transportation and accommodation arrangement, and your travel itinerary. Next, submit the application to the embassy of China to apply for it.
