About:China Visa Application in UK

Does the 72 hour transit visa waiver apply to me?

I hold a British passport. Will be flying to Singapore on a return ticket.
During my holiday in Singapore, I intend to buy another ticket to Guangzhou to sightsee, I will be flying back to Singapore after my Guangzhou holiday.

Sandy, as you will fly from Singapore to Guangzhou and then back to Singapore, this is not a valid transit. So you are not eligible for the 72-hour free transit in Guangzhou.
