About:Hainan Travel

Is it true you can get into Forbidden City only by going through Tian'anmen Tower?

Does the ticket have to be purchased through a tour company or can it be bought by an individual? does it have to be ordered ahead or can it be got at the gate?

The main entrance of the Forbidden City is Meridian Gate (Wumen). You are suggested to enter from this gate by going through Tiananmen Tower and leave from Shenwumen. The admission tickets can be bought by an individual on the spot, but since there are only few tickets available on the spot, you are advised to get there as early as possible to purchase the tickets.
