About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Germany - Beijing- Xiamen- Jakarta

We fly from Germany to Beijing, 10h layover, and from Beijing via Xiamen to Jakarta (not leaving plane in Xiamen). Does the 24h direct transit apply to us or do we need a transit/ tourist visa? Do we need a visa if not leaving the airport.

Tina, if your total layover in Beijing and Xiamen is not more than 24 hours, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit, and then no need to apply for a tourist L type or transit G type.
