About:Guilin Travel

Public Transport to various places of interest

I intend to visit the following places in Guilin using only public buses:
1) Li River
2)Yangshuo
3) Reed Flute Cave
4) Elephant Trunk Hill
5) Folded Brocade Hill

Is it better to stay at North Railway Station or Downtown if I want to take public buses to the above mentioned places?
Please advise public bus numbers and also a convenient accommodation location.

Well, you are advised to find a hotel nearby the Main Railway Station. The surrounding transportation is more convenient than the North Railway Station. You can also find several notels nearby. 7 Days Inn is recommended. The price is CNY 150 to CNY 200 per night in usual time. The address is No.55, South Zhongshan Road, Xiangshan District.
From the Main Railway Station:
1. To Li River: Take a taxi or hire a private car to Zhujiang Wharf and take the boat.
2. To Yangshuo: Take the direct coach from the front square of Main Railway Station. The bus schedules are from 06:30 to 22:30 at intervals of 15 minutes. The ticket fare is CNY 25 per person. And the duration is around 1.5 hours.
3. To Reed Flute Cave: Take public bus no.3 to Ludiyan Bus Stop. Then walk to the Reed Flute Cave Scenic Area directly.
4. To Elephant Trunk Hill: Take public bus no.16 and get off at Xiangshan Park Station.
5. To Folded Brocade Hill: Take public bus no.2 from Shanghai Crossing, and get off at Diecai Hill (Diecaishan) Station.
