The required documents for work Z type include an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit, alien employment permit, your passport and its copy, as well as a completed application form affixed with a passport-style photo.0

Some cities require a Certificate of No Criminal Record. This is either from the FBI or local police. Some cities require one but not the other, others accept both, some don't ask.0
