Visa requirements - UK passport holder

Hello. Do I need a visa to visit Xiamen (12 hours), Hong Kong (37 hours), & Shanghai (~3 days). I will visit Xiamen & Hong Kong from and return to a cruise ship. I will leave the ship in Shanghai and fly out of China after about 3 days. Thank you in anticipation. Denis.

Denis, if you will travel like a country or region rather than HK-Xiamen (12 hours)-HK-Shanghai-a different country or region rather than HK, you will be able to use the 24 hour direct transit in Xiamen and the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. And then no visa will be needed.

Thank you, Conrad. I am still a little uncertain. Perhaps I can pose my query in a different way since it seems there are several options depending upon the length of stay and the area/city visited. If I separate them, perhaps you could indicate the visa required for each single occassion.
1. Xiamen (12 hours stay - off/on cruise ship): Visa?
2. Hong Kong (37 hours stay - off/on cruise ship): Visa?
3. Shanghai (about 3 days stay - leave cruise ship & fly home after hotel stay): Visa?
4. Overall visa which covers all of 1, 2, &3.
Thank you, Denis
