About:China Visa Application in UK

Fees & time to apply

I am going to China on 12th October and need a tourist visa - I see there is a visa fee of £85 and then further down in the information there is a service fee charge per person so are there two fees to pay? I will have to do it postal as I live in Northern Ireland

Yes, Lorraine, you need pay two fees, £151 in total. But this is only applicable to application in person. If you apply by post, the fee is £175. You should apply for it one month before the travel date.

I literally just did my tourist visas. it took less than a week by post I got charged visa fee, a service fee then a postal service fee and then vat ontop of that. Mine was done with my partner and daughters so I cant really give you a price on what a single persons one would be, but for three people mine came out to £525 total.
