About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Which come first? Physical Examination or Residence Permit?

Hello there! I am really confuse right now. I'm from Thailand and going to study in China with X2 visa.

The thing is I have not do any of my Physical Examination yet (plan to do it in China) and I understand that I need to report myself at the police station within 24 hours of my arrival.

So is it a must that I need go through the physical examination first before going to the police station for my residence permit?

Thank you so much!
