Prolong work permit in new passport (Ukrainian citizen)

Hi, I have work permit from the company valid till July 22 2017, I want to prolong my permit from my company, but the thing is my passport expires 28.02.2017. I have obtained new valid passport and now I have two. Can I prolong my work permit in a new passport. When I enter China should I give my new passport for putting entering stamps or old one? Any advice about that? Thank you in advance.
