Carol,
Your natal Saturn at 2°48' in Scorpio opposes Taurus, the house, which represents investment lands. But it makes a good aspect to Capricorn, which represents properties. When Pluto had entered Capricorn in 2008 we had the World Financial Crisis, which started from the property market. Pluto is still in Capricorn, and it will transit there until late 2020’s. While your plan sounds perfect in the present situation, it may not be so if the situation changes slightly. Transiting Pluto still opposes your natal Jupiter (the one which brings luck to you) and to your natal Mercury (the one which helps you to think clearly.) As transiting Saturn conjunct your’ natal Mars, you persevere, and will overcome difficulties. My advice to you is to hold on to the money until next year, because as an entity, a house you buy this year is not compatible with you astrologically and you will have to always spend more money on it. If next year of the Earth Dog, you will still be in the mood to invest, then I believe it will be a good investment, given that an Earth year is mainly concerned with property investments. Since I don’t stand to benefit from this, my advice to you has no ulterior motives (and it is purely based on the transiting planets), while a salesperson’s advice has. Good luck.
