About:China Visa on Arrival

X1 visa with 'single entry' but need to leave China for a week

Good day, I am in Shanghai at the university, holding a valid X1 visa but with 'single entry' only.
Need to leave China next week for 10 days. How do I get a 'multiple entry' within a few days?

Frank, have you already got the temporary residence permit? If yes, you can leave and then re-enter without problems. If you haven't got this document, you can only leave, apply for a new X1, and then re-enter.

is that the same as 'Registration Form of Temporary Residence' ?
