How to apply a china visa in hong kong

Hi, I have hong Kong id card and now holding Australia passport ,and I'll visit mainland china for a week on March, so where is easier to apply mainland entry permit and cheaper, Hongkong or Australia. Thanks.

If you apply for it in HK, a single-entry tourist L type will cost HKD200 per person. If you apply for it in Australia, it will cost AUD109.5 per person for a single-entry tourist L type. It will be cheaper to apply in HK.
You should first prepare the relevant documents: your HK ID card, the application form, a passport-sized color photo, your passport and its copy, and proof of transportation and accommodation arrangement. Next, submit the application to the office of the commissioner of the ministry of foreign affairs of PRC in HK.
