About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

I am going to Pakistan to visit my parents.

I would like to go to Shanghai to visit a friend meanwhile for couple of days.
Do I need a visa. ?
I have a Canadian passport.

If you stay in Shanghai for not more than1 44 hours, you don’t need a visa because you will qualify for the 144 hour free transit there.
