About:How to Buy Tickets

train trip from Beijing to Yichang to Chengdu - Kunming to Dali to Lijiang to Beihai to Bijing

Hi,
I am a female solo backpacker and want to visit China in April. My plan is as below:
Beijing to Yichang - Chengdu - Kunming - Dali - Lijiang - Beihai - Nanning and again back to Beijing.
I want to travel cities by rail. I can't book by credit card in websites. I want to know about agencies in Beijing which sells tickets and about their service fee. Is it a good idea to buy all of them in Beijing at first? or is better to buy it city by city?
I've heard buying them in railway Stations is not a good idea since they will be so crowded. Isn't any low crowded hours at stations?
also please inform me if my plan is doable in one month.

If it is not possible to book online in advance, you may choose to buy them from a local ticket office in Beijing after your arrival. Usually there are many office set up in the city. You may ask your hotel if there is one near your location. It woul dbe better to buy them together in Beijing as long as your schedule fixed. For some of your trip, there are only a few rides running between so it may sold out when the date is approaching. By the way, for the trip from Lijiang to Beihai, there is no direct rail available. You may need to back to Kunming first and then to Beihai.

Thank you for your respond, about Lijiang to Beihai, yes, I will go back to Kunming, then go to Nanning and then to Beihai.
By the way, do you think it's a proper plan for one month long?

One month should be enough. For some trips you may choose an overnight sleeper train if possible which can save your daytime visiting. Among these cities, Beijing and Chengdu may need longer stay, Yichang maybe 1 or 2 days. Kunming-Dali-Lijiang-Kunming usually may around 8 or 9 days.
