Paris-Japan (via Beijing on the way there, and return via Chengdu)
Dear all,
I will be flying from Paris, through Beijing (3 hour stop), and go to Tokyo at the end of March. Then, mid-April we will come back from Osaka, Japan, through Chengdu (4 hour transit) to Paris.
On this website I read that "The flights can only stop in one Chinese city, meaning passengers have to enter and exit from the same city, except in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Guangdong" and "Passengers are required to leave from the same airport that they arrive"
Question: On the way to Japan, we will arrive and exist from the same airport. On the way back, we will arrive and exist from the same airport. Nevertheless, during this return flight from Paris to Japan we first fly via Beijing, and we return from Japan to Paris, through Chengdu (so, a different town then on the way there).
Will we be eligible for 72-hour visa-free transit for both ways?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Kind regards,
Anna
