Different arrival-departure date for X2 visa

Hi,
I need to apply for an X2 type. I will be studying in Xi'An for 3 months and I would like to spend a couple of weeks visiting Guilin afterwards. Since I must provide my round-trip flight booking, is it possible to arrive in Xi'An and leave China from Guilin even though my admission notice only mentions my study period in Xi'An?

Giulia, yes, you can arrive in Xian, and leave from Guilin.

Thank you very much. Another question: if I apply for an X2 visa and my application notice states that I will study in China until June (without any specific date), can I book a flight anytime in June? Thank you in advance.

I’m afraid not. If you want to stay for a little longer after you finish study, you should apply for a tourist L type before the X2 type expires. In this case, you can book a flight anytime in June.

I see but I will need a return flight ticket to apply for my visa, and since I don't know the date when my course is going to finish how can I book a flight home?

When you apply for the Xx2 type, the return ticket may not be needed. Don’t worry!
