About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

How can we know if the application can be handled by an overseas Chinese embassy/consulate?

I plan to visit HongKong in a month as a second travel destination. I wonder if my application can be handled through a Chinese consulate in US with shorter processing time

MN, actually, if the HK visa application is accepted and processed by the embassy/consulate of China in US, it may be processed in 4 working days; and the express service can also be chosen. But if it is transferred to HK immigration department directly, it may take 4 to 6 weeks; no express service is provided.
