About:China Customs Declaration

What happen if I travel with more than 20,000 CNY?

will I need to pay a tax for that? Will they keep my money?
Of course I'm going to declare the money but I'm afraid of losing it and don't know what happen after declared it

Also I'm traveling with my family we are all adults, do we need less than 20, 000 CNY per each one or is 20,000 for all of us?

Each person can take CNY 20,000 at most. If the money exceeds the amount, you have to declare it to the customs. Probably, you should pay a tax. By the way, you can simply bring your credit cards. You don't have to bring so much cash. ;)
