applicaton of a work permit

i am nelly,been in china for four months now,i want to apply for a work permit but using agents is very expensive.How should i go about it?

If you have found a job and your employer has got the work permit and invitation letter of a duly authorized unit for you. You can prepare those documents first: your passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, work permit, and invitation letter of a duly authorized unit. Afterwards, go to the local exit and entry administration to change your current visa to a work Z type.
