About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

My wife is a Chinese passport holder.

We are visiting shanghai for 4 days on our way back from UK. We then head home to Australia via Hong Kong. Does my wife need a visa for HongKong even though we are just transiting. It's actually a domestic flight from Shanghai and then international back to sydney. Hope you can help.

If she can provide the onward ticket and valid visa or residence permit for Australia, she can enjoy free transit in HK for 7 days. In this case, she doesn’t need to provide an entry permit.
