Visa required for Dutch Citizen living in LA for Shanghai

Thank you - I am a Dutch Passport Holder (valid for more than 6 months). I live in Los Angeles on a US Greencard and need to visit Shangai for 4 days this January. I will purchase a return ticket from and to LA.
Do you need a visa or am I ok with the 144 hour free entry? Thanks!

Ray, yes, you need a visa because your trip to Shanghai is not a transit at all, you cannot enjoy free transit there.
