Can I hold student visa for both Hong Kong and mainland China?

No, Hong Kong student visa is only useful in HK. It cannot be used in mainland China. And mainland China visa is only applicable to mainland.

Thank you Serena. How about holding a student visa for a school in China and a different student visa for another school in Hong Kong. That means, holding two student type visa, one applicable in mainland china and the other in Hong Kong. Please, is that possible?
