About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise stopping in Xiamen and Shanghai

We are Australians, who will be on a cruise. We will stop in Xiamen for 11 hrs, and will disembark in Shanghai. Do we need to get a double entry visa? Or is the Xiamen counted only as a transit, therefore we only need the single entry one into Shanghai?

If you will sail in Chinese waters when you travel from Xiamen to Shanghai, a single entry visa is enough.
