About:China Embassy in Thailand

I am an Indian Passport holder on visiting visa in Thailand.

Will I be able to apply for a visiting L visa to China if my chinese friend issues me an invitation letter ?? What docs will I need and how long ?

Walker, yes, it is possible for you to make the application from Thailand.
Those documents are needed: the invitation letter from your friend, your visa for Thailand, your passport and its photocopy, the application form, and a recently-taken bareheaded color photo. It will take 4 working days to process the application after you submit it.

The rules say that temporary visitors must apply in their country of residence
