About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

May i use 72-hour free Transit?

Sorry, i ask again.

Question : I will enter Hongqiao International Airport. and move to Pudong International Airport.
and i'm starting to sydney after 12 hours. In this case, do i need Chinese visa ?

Answer : No, you don’t need it because you will be eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai.

But i want to go sightseeing Shanghai during 12hours.
May i use 72-hour free Transit?

Yes, you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit there but because you juts transit 12 hours there, you may be given a 24 hour direct transit, and then you need to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge to leave the airport to go sightseeing.
