About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hi, I hold China Passport with Australia PR and will have a transit in HK.

During 5 days in HK, I plan to have one day visit to Macau. Could you please kindly let me know if Macau Visa is needed and can I get it on arrival? Many thanks.

Regards,
Cherrie

Cherrie, no, you don’t need visa for Macau.

Actually using Chinese passport to enter Macau is only acceptable if you are transiting to a third country/region (e.g., mainland China). In other circumstances you need a Hong Kong and Macau Travel Permit from your local MPS office.
