About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

we are US citizens traveling to Thailand with a stop over in Beijing for 65 hours

we plan to book a 2 days tour with you - WE DO NOT HAVE A VISA - will we be okay ?
we do have the ticket showing Beijing to Bangkok departs 65 hours after we land in Beijing. Plesae advvise

Vicki, you will be okay. You are eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing. Nice trip.

It says that I will need to stay in the designated area - will I be able to leave the airport and tour the city of Beijing ? or I will need to stay and wait in the airport?

The "designated area" IS the city of Beijing.
