About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From Ho Chi Ming to Guangzhou to HK

We will fly from France to Vietnam, then Vietnam to Guangzhou, then take the bus or train to HK.
Finally we will fly from HK to France few days later.
How can I proove that we will leave China within 144h? We won't have fly ticket from Guangzhou to HK as we will pass by train or bus (and not booked before our entrance in China).
Thank you

No, you cannot enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Guangzhou because the 144 hour policy is not carried out there.
If you just stay in Guangzhou for less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there, and then no visa will be needed. Otherwise, a tourist L type or transit G type will be required.

Really ? but why is it written : As for Guangdong, passengers can enter via Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an Airport, or Jieyang Chaoshan Airport, but they can exit from any port in Guangdong.

Dear, I’m sorry. I made a mistake. I just noticed that the 144 hour free transit has also been carried in Guangdong. In this case, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Guangzhou if you travel like that. If possible, you can book the train ticket through a travel agency, and then you can show the proof to prove that you will leave China within 144 hours.
