About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

staying in chongqing for 9 hours

I'm travelling to phuket and staying in chongqing for 9 hours. Do I need Chinese VISA and can I go to chongqing city?

No you don't need a visa.
Just use the 24th free transit.
If you wanna leave the airport just ask for a temporary entry permit.
