About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Xiamen 72-hours visa free - visit to yongding?

Hi, I am travelling to Xiamen arriving Monday next week and will be availing the 72-hour free transit. Can I visit places outside Xiamen like Yongding/Nanjing for the Hakka Tulou? Its a 2-3 hour drive with the day tours. Thanks!

DP, no, you cannot visit Yongding/Nanjing when using the 72 hour free transit in Xiamen. You can only travel around Xiamen city.

That is such a pity. Thanks! I'll try to ask the immigration when I arrive if they allow day tours arranged by certified travel agencies. We shall see. Thanks again Patrick.
