About:Hong Kong Airport Express

We are a group of four ( all adults ) and our departure flight is on 12 Dec 0845 am .

Our hotel is located nearby HKU station, would like to know the following:
1) how much would it cost to go HKIA by taxi ? What time to start from hotel to reach HKIA?
2) will it be enough time to go by airport express (AE) ? If yes , what time to go from hotel and which station to go to AE ?how much will it cost for 4 of us ?can octopus card be used ?OR taking bus will be better ?
3) can I get the refund if octopus card remaining value n deposit at HKIA?

1). The fare may be around HKD 310. The trip takes about 40 to 50 minutes. You should set off at around 5:30.

2). The time will be enough to travel by AE train. You may take MTR Island line from HKU Station to Central Station, and switch to AE train from HK Station to HKIA. The whole trip takes about 40 minutes. The first train departs at 06:01. Certainly, you can pay by Octopus card. The fare is HKD 100 per person. There is no direct bus available.

3). Yes, you can get the refund and the balance when returning the card at HKIA. :)
