About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Visiting Hongkong for 6 days between 23-29 Dec with family

Please advise on the best option for travel from the airport to Jordan. We are staying in Jordan. Also we are planning to visit places including Dysneyland. Which will be the most economical and comfortable mode of transport? Kindly guide us on the tickets/pass. Which one to purchase so that we are able to use airport MTR as well as others? We are 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 7 years.

From Airport to Jordan, take bus line A22 from Airport (GTC) Station to Chi Woo Street, Jordan Road Station. It takes 40 minutes, and costs HKD 40.

From Jordan to Disneyland, take bus line E23 from Kowloon Union Church, Jordan Road Station to Lantau Link Toll Plaza Station. Then, change to bus line R8 to Disneyland. The fare totals HKD 20, and takes 40 minutes.

You are advised to buy Standard Octopus Cards, which can be applied on Airport Express, MTR, buses, ferries, trams, taxis, etc. To get the card, each adult pays HKD 50 as the refundable deposit and HKD 100 as the stored value; each kid aged 3 to 11 pays HKD 50 as the refundable deposit and HKD 20 as the stored value. :)

Certainly! Take Airport Express from HKIA to Tsing Yi Station. Next, change to MTR Tung Chung Line to Lai King Station. Then, transfer to MTR Tsuen Wan Line to Jordan Station.

The fare amounts to HKD 60, and the trip takes about 45 minutes.
