About:China Transit Visa

I am a Nepalese citizen travelling from Sydney to Kathmandu via Chengdu round trip...

I have 12 hrs transit in Chengdu on my way to Kathmandu with free hotel accomodation from the airline in a hotel outside airport.Are Nepalese citizen eligible for free 24 hr transit visa??Also, How do I apply for one if eligible??

Yes, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Chengdu. You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport after arrival and then you can go out to stay at the hotel.
