About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

I am Swedish and want to apply for a chinese student visa while in Ho chi minh.

Is that possible? How long will it take? Any risks of not getting it and not able to entry china?

Paulin, it is possible for you to get it from there. You can have a try!
After you submit the application, you need to wait for 4 working days to get the result.
You have 50% chance to get it there and then enter China.

Possible to do it in Ho Chi Minh, no need to go to Hanoi right? And how come 50/50?

You can apply from Consulate-General of the PRC in Ho Chi Minh City.
All I can say is that it is possible for you to get the student X type for China from there. I can assure nothing, so I said you have 50% chance.
