About:China Transit Visa

AUS > CAN > WUH > FCO

Hi - I am a US citizen traveling from Sydney to Guangzhou with a 3 hour layover before I fly from Guangzhou to Wuhan. In Wuhan I have a 2 hour layover before I fly to FCO (Rome). Do I qualify for the 24 hour direct trasit? I saw somewhere there is an exception for Wuhan so am trying to figure out what is needed.

Michael, you are right. Nationals of Canada and USA are not permitted to use the multiple-stop transit within China, if transiting through Tianjin (TSN), Weihai (WEH), Wuhan (WUH), Xi'an (XIY) or Zhengzhou (CGO). Therefore, you do not qualify for the 24h direct transit policy.

You would need a transit G type.
