About:China Work Visa

Applying from a Tourist Visa to a Work Z type, what are the steps?

Hi, my company would like to offer a Z type to a pontential teacher but he does not have the 2 years of official experience and he has not completed the TESOL/TEFL certication course. He is in China currently.

He meets all the other requirements (age, native English Speaker, university graduate, HSK level 5). What can we do? And does he need to leave the China to process the Z type?

Michael, because he doesn’t have 2-year work experience, it may be not easy to get the work permit and invitation letter of a duly authorized for him, but his employer can have a try.
Firstly, he needs to provide his passport, the application form, a bareheaded color photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, work permit and the invitation letter from a duly authorized unit.
Next, submit the application to the exit and entry bureau to covert the L type to Z type. If it can be converted in China, he doesn’t need to exit China for Z type application.
