About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

San Francisco - Beijing - Incheon

I'm heading to S. Korea in mid December from San Francisco, but wanted to stop over in Beijing to see the Great Wall. Am I able to get the 72hr pass?

I leave SFO Dec. 13 at 11am and arrive in PEK Dec. 14 at 330pm and leave the next day (Dec. 15) to ICN at 1050am.

I also plan to stay the night at a hotel, and any suggestions on the best way to get to the Great Wall?

Yes, you qualify for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing if you travel like that. Nice trip.
You can take Airport Express to Dongzhimen, and change to subway line 13 to Huoying Station, Exit G4. Then, walk to Huangtudian Railway Station to take an S2 train to Badaling Great Wall.
