About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

when can i apply for Permanent Residence

I hold UK passport and have been married to PRC citizen for 12 years, she returned to China five years ago to care for elderly parents. I visit and stay for about 6 months a year and have done so for last 5 years. When can I apply for permanent residence? I am 69 year

Dear, according to the policy, if you want to apply for permanent residence permit, your marriage should last for at least 5 years, and you have lived in PRC for 5 years in a row with annual stay in PRC for more than 9 months, and have stable place to live. Based on what you said, I’m afraid you cannot apply for it at present.
