About:Visa Policy of China

do filipinos on an asian cruise need a chinese visa for a layover of 9 hours in Sanya, china

We are 5 filipinos on an 11 day asian cruise leaving from singapore on Dec 11 2016, passing through Thailand, Vietnam then arriving in Sanya on Dec 20 at 8 am, departing Dec 20 5 pm and proceeding to Hong kong on Dec 22. Do we need an entry permit for Sanya. We know we dont need an entry permit for Hong Kong.

In principle, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Sanya, but because you will travel by the same cruise ship all the way, you are advised to double check that with the cruise ship company and ask if you need to apply for an entry permit in advance.
