About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Melbourne > Shanghai > Vancouver

My boyfriend and I are flying from Melbourne back to Vancouver on Jan 4th 2017 with a stop in Shanghai. Do we need to get a visa? We have a 7 hour layover at Shanghai airport.

Silka, no, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit for that. You can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there.
