I will arrive in Kunming by the night train from Lijiang at 06.00, and my flight to kuala lumpur at 17:40  on the same day. Which sites can I visit  there and where I could store my luggage. Is it possible if I store my luggage at the train station and then  take a taxi  to the airport? how long the journey from the train station to the airport by taxi ? Thank you

Upon arrival at the railway station, you can take a taxi to Kunming East Coach Station (15 minutes), there are left luggage office at the bus station, then take a regular buses to visit the Stone Forest. The bus runs every 20-30 minutes in peak season and about 40 minutes in low season. Bus fare is around CNY25 and the ride takes about 1.5 hours. The suggested visiting time is 2-3 hours. After that, get back to the East Coach Station, retrieve your luggage and take subway line 6 to the airport directly (20 minutes). If you do not want to go too far, you may visit some attractions in the city area, like Cuihu Park, Dianchi Lake, Western Hills, etc and taste some local foods, such as rice noodle and steaming-pot chicken.
