How did the emperor Qin Shi Huangdi obtain and maintain power in early imperial China?

He ascend to the throne in 247BC after the death of his father, King Zhuangxiang of Qin. He maintained his power through eliminating rebels, annexing six other states, and putting forward a series of reforms. :)

If your interested in Qin shi huang, there is a fabulous anime/manga called kingdom. However the main focus isn't Qin shi huang, but about a boy who want to become great general, I'm not gonna go inptent to much but it's good
