Any specific company with good amount of data which would last for a week? I will go to Shanghai as well. Will it work there as well?

Well, as I know, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom Sim Card Companies are recommended. There are many branches in BJ downtown area. You can find one nearby your living place. And generally speaking, the card can be used in Shanghai. You can consult the staff for more details when you arriving there.
