Cruise ending in Shanghai

Our cruise finishes in Shanghai and then we will stay two nights in a hotel before flying directly home to Canada. We are Canadian citizens and will stay only in Shanghai to do some local sightseeing. I assume that the 144-hour free visa will work for us?

Lisa, if the last country or region you come from before entering Shanghai is not Canada, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
