Transfer from Air Canada to China Eastern at PVG

Hi, what is the procedure from transfer from T1 INTL to T2 INTL. Coming from YVR going to BKK. If I have to collect baggage, can I still stay on the secure side without entering the country?

Hi, dear! Air Canada uses T2, and China Eastern uses T1. So you will transfer from T2 to T1. Here are the procedures: Flight Arrival- International Arrival Access- Joint Inspection (Inspection & Quarantine, Immigration Inspection)- Luggage Claim- Customs- Arrival Hall- Take a free shuttle bus to T1- International Check in- Joint Inspection (Inspection & Quarantine, Customs, Immigration, Security Check)- International Concourse.

I am afraid not. You should go through immigration. You are eligible to the 24 hours visa-free transit policy. Don't worry! :)
